Ace of Diamonds
The heroine who started it all — psionic diamonds, Vegas lights, and the first legend of the Megababes universe.
By day, Danika Nolan commands the stage as a Las Vegas showgirl. When danger deals her in, she becomes Ace of Diamonds — focusing raw psionic energy into diamond-hard constructs that shield the innocent and cut through the guilty.
Ace of Diamonds is where the Megababes universe began: the original published heroine, the origin point of the mythology, and the flagship of the line.
Powers & Abilities
Danika is a trained gymnast and dancer. She also has latent martial arts training that reflexively surfaces in times of stress. Her powers are psychokinetic, enabling her to focus psionic energy into diamond-hard shapes that can be used as shields or hurled as razor-sharp projectiles.
Where It All Began
Ace of Diamonds is the original published comic — the origin point of the entire Megababes universe. She debuted in an 8-page backup story in Heroic Tales #3 (October 1997), returned in Heroic Tales #5, and earned her own title, which ran issues #0 through #3 from Lone Star Press.
Through her book, the universe took shape: Bloodlust debuted alongside her, Silver Spyder stepped out of a pin-up and into her own stories, and the rogues began to gather. The never-published issue #4 — and the Megababes team book that was meant to follow — remain the great unfinished destiny this site exists to continue.
