Powers & Abilities
A very active and agile fitness enthusiast with some martial arts training. Her powers come from her armored suit of lightweight "Arachnium," a unique bio-alloy synthetic spider web. Her left-arm gauntlet is loaded with gadgets: it can fire venom darts, but its main function is a high-speed winch that casts and reels a thin Arachnium cable she uses for transport.
History
Like her parents, Krista Silver is a brilliant inventor. When the formula for her miracle material Arachnium was stolen, she donned an experimental armored costume and broke into the Synthtech corporate offices to retrieve it. There she encountered Ace of Diamonds in one of her first outings as a heroine — and turned herself in after destroying the formula. Taken to jail, she was recruited to work with a secret government agency.

Silver Spyder is a classic case of a hero introduced as a villain — sent against the established hero so she could be spun off into her own adventures.
